As an Audit Associate, you will serve various clients and handle the preparation of supporting work through all phases of the audit process as per standard operating procedures. You will be expected to assist with technical support to managers on complex projects as required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs audit of client financial statements under supervision of managers on the team
  • Complete audit workpapers by documenting audit tests and findings
  • Research and develop knowledge of current audit legislation to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Review, research and analyze financial statement issues utilizing various electronic sources and software
  • Collect, assimilate, and analyze client data and use standard processes and tools to complete assigned project work
  • Assist in identifying technical issues in various projects and share suggestions with senior personnel to mitigate the same
  • Recommend on ways to streamline operations and increase client satisfaction
  • Provide support on complex projects to senior personnel in the audit team
  • Maintain the quality of audit related data by regularly monitoring the database and following up with relevant internal stakeholders
  • Assist in developing content for training and provide on-the job training to new employees
  • Train, and mentor interns on audit projects and provide performance feedback to staff as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent
  • CPA license preferred
  • 3-5 years of functional experience in Audit
  • Healthcare, Government- Single Audit, and Not-for-Profit Industry Experience is a huge plus
  • Knowledge of advanced MS Excel & other tools and platforms
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and US GAAS
  • Adept understanding of the standards of the audit process
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Agile learner and team player
