Managed Accounting Services provides accounting leadership and support to organizations that need to augment internal resources, address staffing gaps, or implement end-to-end accounting processes. Services may include Controller/CFO advisory support and fully outsourced accounting operations, tailored to business needs.

As a Managed Accounting Senior, you will work in a team environment to provide outsourced accounting and financial reporting services to a variety of clients. In this role, you will focus on key areas of operational accounting and the preparation of accurate financial statements and reporting packages.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of financial reporting accuracy and timeliness of processing client information
  • Bank and other balance sheet reconciliation and documentation
  • Payroll preparation and reconciliation
  • Review and approval of transactional accounting
  • Review of general ledger for completeness and accuracy
  • Management of weekly open items and communication with clients
  • Review of month end journal entries including prepaids, accrued expenses, inventory, amortization etc.
  • Preparation of initial draft financials and reporting package for completion by manager
  • Coordinate weekly and monthly tasks with accounting staff
  • Work with team to ensure timely month end close and delivery of financials
  • Participate in career development activities and training of staff
  • Develop and sustain relationships with client executives and senior management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional working experience
  • Prior operational accounting experience, such as A/P, A/R, Payroll, Cash and Credit Card Reconciliations

 

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in client service, as well as coaching, mentoring and managing staff
  • Experience using QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, Xero, Bill.com, ADP, Paychex or other ERP, AP, payroll and spend management systems
  • CPA or other professional license eligibility

Other:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Excellent analytical, research and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong judgment, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Great English Communication Skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and work on new systems
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment

WFH TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

• Minimum Internet Speed: 50-100 Mbps

• Dedicated Home Office Area: Private, quiet workspace

• Business Continuity Plan: Power and Internet Backup is a MUST
